TRASHedy

How many plastic cups does one use in the course of a lifetime? Everyone knows how much our daily consumption is damaging the environment. Despite this fact or maybe precisely because of it “TRASHedy” wants to encourage reflection about our own behaviour and the protection of the environment.

With the help of dance, animated pictures and sound effects, the production reproduces the origin of the world. Vividly and humorously, it tells the story about our strange evolution. Leandro Kees, choreographer, together with the performer Daniel Mathéus and the composer Martin Rascher, take an honest look at the subject of environmental awareness and show a future in which the focus is on one's own freedom of choice and pursuit of happiness.

Winner of the Young Jury-Audience Award and the Jury Award at the Westwind Festival 2013:

"For us TRASHedy is clearly a call to change the world. TRASHedy doesn't release a satisfied audience, no, TRASHedy leaves behind questions that I have to think about". (Westwind Festival-Jury )
