HALBSTARK Forum

In the HALBSTARK Forum 9- to 13-year-olds will show who they are and what moves them. They will present their talents in small performances, will read texts that they’ve put together themselves and show what they have developed with the Filmwerkstatt Münster, the VHS Bürgerfunkstudio and the festival director, Silvia Andringa.

Also in attendance will be the artist and art-teacher Jürgen Lemke, who will present the self-directed performative film and photographic work of pupils from his project-oriented art-teaching practice, as well as the actor and theatre teacher Barbara Schmidt, who will present dramatic writing for children alongside young authors in the Schreibwerkstatt Mühlheim an der Ruhr.

How we see theatre… Another exciting moment will be when the HALBSTARK school group from the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium Münster sum up their impressions of the theatre festival performances.

Finally, theatre makers and politicians will answer the question “Theatre for 9- to 13-year-olds – are we making the right things for those who we’re aiming to make things for?” at the cultural-political podium.
