Professional Excursion
On Wednesday professionals and those with a general interest are invited to an excursion to the hellwach festival, which this year will be staged in parallel to the HALBSTARK festival. Both festivals aim to build bridges and use synergies in those areas in which they converge or complement one another.

HALBSTARK Forum
In the HALBSTARK Forum 9- to 13-year-olds will show who they are and what moves them. They will present their talents in small performances, will read texts that they’ve put together themselves and show what they have developed with the Filmwerkstatt Münster, the VHS Bürgerfunkstudio and the festival director, Silvia Andringa.
Young Talents
This year HALBSTARK will again invite children to play an active role in the festival.
Kids Uni
From putting on make-up, decorating, trying things out and stage fright to the big moments on stage – Dr. Ortwin Lämke, Director of Studiobühne der Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Dr. Ulrich Peters, Director of Theater Münster, and Julia Dina Heße, Director of Junges Theater, will explain, tell and show what is exciting in the world of theatre.
Luminaries - Favourite Pieces
Artists, actors and authors are invited to read from their favourite books for 9- to 13-year-olds and to talk about growing older.
HALBSTARK
International Theatre Festival for 9 to 13 Year Olds
The 2010 premier of HALBSTARK was a great success. The Kulturamt der Stadt Münster and the Theater Münster, along with the NRW KULTURsekretariat (Wuppertal) and many other partners now present the second outing of this extraordinary festival, from 6 to 11 November 2012.
Artistic Direction
The Dutch director, and Artistic Director of the HALBSTARK theatre festival, Silvia Andringa, lives and works in Amsterdam. She is known for her fantasy-filled and moving productions, that also pose social and societal questions.

1-2tjes - De Stilte (NL)
Never before were you this close to the dancers! Sitting around a dance floor of 3,50 x 3,50 meters, the audience is directly confronted with every movement and facial expression and witnesses from up close the confrontation that unfolds between two dancers.

A run-down hotel in the middle of nowhere, between Germany and the Netherlands. Behind its walls the ghosts of history are never at rest. Young Birger wants to know what the hotel has got to do with his Uropa, the Second World War, missing twins and, last but not least, him. What role does the grumpy hotelier play in all this, what has his mother got to do with this strange Dutch guest and what kind of music is that?
