For a long time we have talked to adults to learn about children’s lives. The World Vision Children’s Study takes a different approach. They ask children themselves about their experiences, points of view and needs. The most recent study from 2010 questioned 2,500 children between the ages of 6 and 11. This lecture will present central findings from the study and in doing so will focus on the themes of family, free time, participation and welfare. This work thus gives the younger generation a voice.
